A county update as East Sussex placed in Covid 'Tier Two'

New Covid rules have been announced for East Sussex. Find out more in this update.

East Sussex has been classed as at ‘high risk’ from Covid which means that new rules will be in force in our county when the current national restrictions come to an end on Wednesday (December 2).

Free parking in Lewes to boost Shop Independent scheme

We are pleased to report that on the Saturdays 5th, 12th & 19th December, fourteen of Lewes’s Pay & Display car parks will be free for parking.

This applies to the following LDC Car Parks (on-street parking is not included):

MP WELCOMES OVER 13,700 MORE NHS NURSES

New statistics showing 13,700 more nurses in the NHS have been welcomed by Lewes MP and NHS nurse Maria Caulfield MP.

The number of nurses in the NHS in England increased by 13,718 compared with last year, and the number of doctors has risen by 7,810, figures to the end of July show.
