Maria Caulfield was re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Lewes with a significantly increased majority.
With no candidates standing from either the Green Party or the UK Independence Party, it was a three way contest between the Conservative Party, the 'Lib Dems' and the Labour Party.
The final vote count was as follows:
Lib Dem: 21,312
Meaning that Maria Caulfield's new majority is a very respectable 5,508 - up from 1,083 in 2015.
