Huge Funding Agreement Secured for Newhaven

A six year plan to increase jobs and housing in Newhaven has been given a £19 million boost. Close partnerships between local councils have secured £10 million for a new port access road in Newhaven and £9 million for flood defences,  including a promise of £6 million from the Environment Agency. 

Maria Welcomes New Health Centre for Seaford

A new health centre in Seaford was welcomed by Conservative Parliamentary candidate Maria Caulfield.  The centre, which will offer both NHS and private orthopaedic and musuloskeletal services, is due to open in August. 

Seaford Day Hospital Opening Soon

Maria Caulfield, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Seaford, went along to a packed meeting of the Seaford Seniors Forum on Monday. The meeting which was held in St Thomas’ church in Seaford had a representative present from the new owners of the day hospital, Horder Health care.

£2.25m Investment For Denton Island Business Centre in Newhaven Will Create Local Jobs

A team led by Lewes District Council has been awarded £1.9 million by the Big Lottery Fund to implement an exciting new scheme in Newhaven that will create jobs and enhance the skills of local people. A further £150,000 from East Sussex County Council and £175,000 from Lewes District Council has been added to the “Newhaven Growth Quarter” initiative - a total investment of £2.25 million.

Seaford Day Hospital

The Baptist Church in Seaford was packed once again with hundreds of residents for the public meeting organised by Conservative Councillor Sam Adeniji, where he welcomed a range of expert speakers to let residents of Seaford know about the proposed new opening of the day hospital this summer. 

Three-days-a-week Seaford Tip Proposal

 On January 28th East Sussex County Council (ESCC) will decide on a formal proposal to keep the Seaford Waste Recycling open for three days a week.
