Maria Caulfield MP has commended organisers of the Bishopstone Church Summer Fete last Saturday as a wonderful community event.
As the local MP, she was delighted to join Father Trevor Smyth along with attendees of St Andrew’s Church, amongst other residents, at the village green for a Saturday afternoon of fun.
Ms Caulfield was able to speak with residents and to immerse herself in village life at Bishopstone, listening to people’s concerns and also enjoying the sunshine. The Mayor and Young Mayor of Seaford were also in attendance.
Following the fete, Ms Caulfield said, “I do love the annual tradition of the church fete.”
“The church does wonders in bringing the community together, and I commend the hard work of the organising team to make the fete a success. I do hope that all who attended had a lovely afternoon – I certainly did!”
