Maria Caulfield MP has met with the newly formed WASPI Lewes Area Group at their group meeting in Seaford.

The recently formed group, part of the national WASPI campaign for transitional arrangements in changes to women’s state pension ages, is quickly gaining support across the Lewes constituency where over 4,000 women are impacted by the changes.

The Lewes MP spoke to the group of her unwavering support for WASPI women, having previously collected signatures for a petition that she later presented to Parliament. Maria Caulfield is also co-sponsoring a Parliamentary Bill to introduce fairer transitional arrangements.

Maria Caulfield MP said “I have long been a supporter of the WASPI campaign for fairer transitional arrangements in changes to their state pensions, so was delighted to come and speak the newly formed WASPI Lewes Area Group.”

“I will continue to do all that I can to support WASPI women both here in the Lewes constituency and across the UK.”
